Uzbekistan has a continental climate with hot summer and cold winter. During the summer temperature can reach 35°C and above. Temperature in December averages from 8 °C in the north and 0°C in the south. Humidity is low. Rains mostly fall in March and April.
Uzbekistan is the country of sunshine. In the north sun shines on the average from 2700 to 2980 hours in a year and in the south-2800 to 3130 hours. Daytime in summer lasts about 15 hours and in winter-no less than 9 hours.
Spring (April to June) and autumn (September through October) are the most pleasant time to travel.
